What the space asked for
Founded in Singapore in 1858, Robinsons was never merely a department store — it was an institution of elegance, discovery and curated service, woven into the city’s retail memory. The brief was to honour that legacy for a new generation without simply recreating what once existed.
The thinking, made material
We set the interior language in timeless elegance — refined materials, warm neutral tones, sophisticated lighting and curated detailing that read as luxury without excess. Warm stone finishes and natural timber accents are sharpened by contemporary brass and black-metal detailing, set within high-volume spaces and soft ambient light.

A contemporary destination where heritage meets innovation, retail blends with lifestyle, and architecture tells a story beyond commerce — the Robinsons name returned to its premium standing.
Founded in Singapore in 1858, Robinsons was more than a department store — for generations it stood for sophistication, quality and a curated retail experience woven into the city’s retail history; a destination where heritage, lifestyle and aspiration came together under one roof.
Rather than recreating what once existed, the design respectfully reinterprets the Robinsons legacy for a new generation — a contemporary destination reflecting today’s lifestyle, work, retail and social experiences. A place where heritage meets innovation, retail blends with lifestyle, community connects through design, and architecture tells a story beyond commerce.
Inspired by the prestige of Robinsons, the interior language adopts refined materials, warm neutral tones, sophisticated lighting and curated detailing that evoke luxury without excess.
