Scotts 27 is envisioned as more than a restaurant—it is a curated hospitality experience where traditional Chinese culture meets contemporary luxury. The design reinterprets classical Chinese architectural language through a refined modern lens, creating a destination that feels timeless, elegant, and memorable.

Inspired by the rhythm of traditional Chinese courtyards, tea houses, and heritage residences, the space is organized as a sequence of experiences rather than a single dining hall. Guests journey through intimate lounges, vibrant bar spaces, landscaped courtyards, private dining suites, and tea rooms, each offering its own atmosphere while remaining connected through a unified design language. Warm timber finishes, handcrafted brickwork, textured stone, bronze detailing, and bespoke joinery establish a rich material palette that celebrates craftsmanship. Contemporary interpretations of moon gates, lattice screens, feature ceilings, and sculptural shelving create architectural focal points without overwhelming the space. Every element is carefully proportioned to achieve harmony, balance, and sophistication.

Natural daylight plays an important role throughout the project. Large openings, landscaped views, and layered warm lighting soften the interiors during the day while transforming the restaurant into an intimate fine-dining destination in the evening. The interplay of light, shadow, texture, and premium materials creates depth and enhances the sensory dining experience. The bar serves as the social heart of the restaurant, showcasing suspended wine displays, handcrafted cabinetry, and premium finishes that elevate the arrival experience. Adjacent lounges encourage conversation and relaxation before and after dining, while the private dining suites provide exclusive environments for business entertainment, family celebrations, and formal occasions.

Rather than relying on traditional ornamentation alone, the design expresses Chinese identity through proportion, materiality, craftsmanship, and spatial composition. The result is a contemporary hospitality environment that respects cultural heritage while embracing modern luxury. Scotts 27 delivers an immersive dining experience where architecture, interior design, food, and hospitality come together to create a destination that is elegant, authentic, and enduring
